First time visiting Woodward. Me and my friend were really impressed by the course. A couple of greens were a little worse then the rest but most were really nice. $40 for cart and green fees weekdays can't really be beat. Good value.

Well, I read quite a few reviews before coming here. We did enjoy the course, but the cart paths are trash. It needs some TLC. Second, I completely disregarded what people said about the golf Pro but unfortunately my husband stopped to ask him a question and he was rude. This course is clearly looking for new members, but I do agree with the other reviews. If you want more members or revenue, get a new PRO... I have no desire to make this golf course our families may course, I can look past the cart paths that need serious management, but my son is taking golf lessons and I have no desire to deal with a jerk.

Moving to the area in about a month. So I booked for myself and son in-law. Did not get the on line rate. It was hard to understand the guy we paid to play. Greens were a lot slower than I'm use to and the traps didn't have much sand in them. What sand that was there was hard packed. Son in-law didn't have his golf shoes with him. Not a single pair in pro shop for sale. Now to the good side. The course for this duffer was challenging and fair. Hit 26 trees but my fault. Got a handful of pars and several double bogeys ( trees). Front 9 went quickly. Back 9 very slow. Couple of groups started on 10 right in front of us. Pretty hot day and a beverage cart would have been nice. A few rounds on this course and it's possible to have a decent round. Overall not a bad course.

After over a half dozen pleasant visits together (we called the first few times to make certain) me and Biscuit were rudely interrupted in the middle of our round today only to be informed NO DOGS ALLOWED! This person had apparently "never seen us before" and had an axe to grind. He made more of a racket in his cart careening towards us (it as a 90 degree rule which he didn't heed) than the paws on this little mutt could ever make. We decided to end our round and get a refund. We'd always been welcomed by other staff and patrons alike. Until today. Maybe it's more than their dog policy as to why this place is seldom busy? Shame on this "pro". Will never be back with or without the mighty mutt. The Frank House course nearby is a great option and we know we're 100% welcome there.

The course is nice, the carts are as nice as any private club in the city! But the greens are just terrible! They're bent grass greens, which are expensive and what you want to putt on. But they are the most inconsistent greens that I've ever seen or played on in over 40yrs of playing. If they would just do something about the greens, the course could be a really nice course! Maybe they'll get it some day, and either hire a new greens keeper, or they'll pay a professional to advise them on how to mow and care for the greens....? Because someone does not know what they are doing! And that's a shame! Because the place does have potential to be a nice course.
