Nice peaceful park with walking track around lake. Lots of geese and mallard ducks. Also saw white domestic ducks, a beaver dam, a great egret and a big turtle basking. I think the geese are used to being fed as they approach people. Downside is that there is goose poop on the walking area, but while I was there a park worker was going around in a golf cart spraying the track clean. Kids will like this park and getting up close to waterfowl.

My family, even though the kids are almost grown, will go here to walk the track and to fish. You can go here to catch bass, catfish, and bream. I would say 50% of what we've ever caught have been bream and the rest 8 to 15 inch bass. As of August 2020 it appears as if the city is revamping the park. At least parts of the walking track and the pond. It looks like they're dredging out the pond to make it deeper. It's also my understanding that they're replacing a bridge on the walking path that was destroyed by recent flooding.

Good walking area, two playgrounds, restrooms. Turtles and ducks and geese you can look at or feed. The water was low so my son thought it was a great idea to get in it 😂

Really nice but there's a lot of Canadian geese so you have to dodge poop. Overall, we really enjoyed it. Update: still a lot of goose poop but still worth going to

Have stopped at this park the last couple days looking to play pickleball. Play is on tennis courts with movable pickleball nets. I stopped yesterday and was able to play. However, the park gets locked, and today, I was not able to find anyone playing and wasn't going to get a key to unlock. Traveling to Trussville.
