Well, I want to like this course. The issue is that people who don’t play often, or people who play here too much are the main clientele. The problem with this is you get people who don’t know courtesy rules and drive while you’re still within range. And the “locals” think you’re playing too slow and hit on you while you’re on the fairway still. We get it, you’re good at golf. The GM doesn’t seem to be around enough to listen to these complaints, but hey, it’s city golf. Grounds crew do a great job! Nice greens and fairways.

While some would disagree, I really like El Rio. It's a nice , simple muni course conveniently located to everything. It's fairly easy to get on and get around. The bunkers are challenging on some holes, and there are some long par 3s, but it's a nice experience over all. I play all the time after work and really enjoy it. Definitely worth checking out the next time you have an after-work round, or want to golf on short notice.

A fun course and very forgiving for those of us that don't have our PGA Tour Card. Just 18 holes and located on Westside of Tucson near Silverbell and Speedway. City Public Course and played 18 holes with a cart for $23 (not bad for summer rates ). Being that we are in midsummer the course was a little dry, but the tee boxes and greens were nice. El Rio Golf Course is the place for a summer golf deal and good time! Recommend :)

Pro shop is in a different place than the driving range; pro shop is in the restaurant. Otherwise, back 9 is pretty good; fast greens and a lot of bunkers!

Awesome and challenging course for disc golf. Ball golfers could be a little more considerate to disc golfers. We were at the first tee when a ball almost hit us. Could have been avoided by waiting two minutes for us to drive.
