I have played over 50 different disc golf courses in the United States. This one is very much lacking in design. It must have been an afterthought. 1/2 of the hole have things in the way like pavilions (which could have people in them) and other buildings. This is not a beginner friendly course. Almost all the holes are over 300’ some even over 400’ and still Par 3. Some hole u have to shoot over the busy road and the baseball diamond. The tees are not marked with any signs and most of them are dirt. The only markings for them are flare stakes. If you don’t have the app UDisc, u will be lost on where to go next or which basket to shoot to. The best part about the course are the new Innova baskets. There are a total of nine baskets with 18 different tee locations. Not highly recommended.

Nine baskets with two positions to play from for 18 holes total, intermittent shade from wonderful green trees, good mix of grass, rock, and hard pack. Downside is that it can get congested and shares space with two ball fields, and a number of holes throw over a road.

While this course is lacking good signage to help you find your way from one hole to the next, it’s also not rocket science. As long as you have the UDisc app, as most casual disc golfers do these days, it’s totally fine. I actually thought this course was going to be terrible because of the lower star rating on UDisc, but had a great time! I’ve played all of the courses in Tucson many times, but just played this one for the first time today. I was pleasantly surprised with the technicality of the shots it took me to throw, and while it might not seem to be a beginner friendly course, I spoke with one couple who were there playing, that said they’ve only been playing for 2 weeks and love this course. There are other courses in Tucson with much better tee pads, signage, or are more beginner friendly, but I think this course is better than the average of bad reviews left so far. So, while I might actually give this course 3.5-4 stars, that would do nothing to help other people know it’s worth checking out. I hope this helps. I was actually impressed that there were probably 6 different groups of people playing while I was there mid-day. Obviously this course is important to the many people who live nearby. You should check it out too.
