Me and my buddies come here fairly often. We usually play willow yet all the courses are absolutely beautiful. Service is amazing, greens and fairways are well kept. Courses are challenging yet fun to play on. Prices are amazingly affordable. Would absolutely recommend this course to anyone looking for one.

The best pool and facilities! Close to downtown Ft Smith. Great bicycle path, family friendly! Trees haven't grown up in the rv area, but there are mature trees in some areas. Love the pavillion!

Our experience at Ben Geren Golf Course was truly memorable, albeit with a minor challenge. Unfortunately, during our visit, we encountered a "car path only" situation. This restriction limited our ability to explore the entire course as we would have liked. However, even with this restriction, the beauty and quality of the course shone through. The meticulously maintained fairways and greens still provided an enjoyable golfing experience. We appreciated the staff's efforts to maintain the course in such good condition. The staff remained friendly and accommodating, despite the restrictions, and their knowledge and dedication to ensuring our enjoyment of the game were evident. Overall, Ben Geren Golf Course left a positive impression on us. We hope for the opportunity to return when the "car path only" restriction is lifted and fully experience the course. Despite this limitation, we still give it a solid four stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐

With a 27 hole layout, Ben Geren is a "solid" experience for a municipal golf course. Depending on the 18 hole rotation being utilized for the day, each 9 hole layout [Willow, Silo and Magnolia] is approximately 3,500 yards from the Blue tees [~7,000 yards across 18 holes] which is on the "longer side" for most public courses. "Positives" *Very affordable for the recreational golfer [e.g. ~$45.00 for weekend play for 18 holes]. * Minus heavy rain, the course is maintained very well * Professional and courteous staff * The range and putting green are in "serviceable" shape. "Challenges" *As a municipal course, the layout is a touch "vanilla" and could be more challenging. Outside of length alone, there's not a great deal of uniqueness to any of the holes. *The course could VERY MUCH benefit from a better drainage plan. To point, after a rain, the course seems to almost always be "water logged" thereby creating very unfavorable course conditions. *Although well stocked, the "clubhouse" is straight out of the 70's in terms of architecture and hasn't seen a material "refresh" since it was originally built. *The course could be more pleasing from an aesthetics perspective [e.g. signage "refresh"/replacement, greater attention to landscaping clean-up/definition near certain tee boxes]

Course was in very rough shape. Either dead in the fairways or broken sprinklers with flooding and mud (in the fairway). Pace was slow as groups would not let the 2 of us through so we watched them play every hole, including their 3 and 4 putts. A few of them actually practiced their putts after they completed the hole, despite us standing waiting to hit to the green
