Played there twice in a 1 month span. One weekday and one Sat. They took approx. $100 of my money and I got in 24 holes total. They were overbooked and the place was chaotic. They bumped our Sat. tee time to 12:20 and we only got in 12 holes before it was too dark to see. When I brought this up with the manager, he offered me a free cart next time…. a $15 value. This does equate to the lost holes my partner and I experienced due to their overbooking incompetence. I you want to wait 15 min. in between holes and play 2/3 of a round in 4 or 5 hours… this place is for you.

Layouts fun, conditions are fine but the past 5x times I've played here have taken 5.5-6 hrs each. There are marshalls and occasionally a starter, but they do absolutely nothing to monitor the pace of play. I know my review won't make a difference and course would not care if they lose a patron. But I'm hoping that in the off chance a staff member sees this, they'll try to make things better. It's quite disappointing considering this used to be my favorite course and was originally my home track. I've since found other courses to play that care about pace of play. I keep coming back thinking it would be better but it just ends up being worse

My last trip to Fullerton golf course was last Friday. I live very close to Fullerton golf course which is why I decided to book a round on my day off. It had been eight months since the last time I've played here (even though I am about 3 miles away). Every time I play Fullerton, it just seems like something goes wrong which ruins the experience. I showed up to the round 15 minutes ahead of time and I see no less than 4 groups at the 1st tee. The starter said something to the extent of "don't worry we'll get it going". I'm a single, and Fullerton does not give out single carts. As I'm looking for the other guy in my group, 4 people come forward with the same tee time. Yes, the golf course booked a 5-some. That was confirmed with the shop. So, we tee off 30 minutes after our tee time after our 5-some was separated. The group 2 Infront of us is playing terrible and holding everybody up. The conditions of the course were dismal. All of this together just got in my head, and it took a few holes to get out of it. By hole 9, the 2-some Infront of us wrapped back around to hole 2 because it was taking so long, and the 1 guy who was with us joined them. Me and my cart partner were just done with the day, by the time we were done with 9 we were 2 hours and 55 minutes in. Our tee time was 11:48 and we weren't going to finish before the sun went down. I asked for a half refund at the shop (No "pros" here), and they said they don't do refunds. During the slow play there was an "ambassador" that was just moving around the course and parking. He was nice when he came by, but they made no effort to speed up play. Its obvious the staff at this place doesn't care. I know its affordable, but spend your money anywhere else. You will have more fun at Birch hills than here even though its longer. I was between Fullerton and Anaheim hills when I booked, and now I've learned my lesson.

After a few weeks of reflection, I feel it's important to share my experience. My father canceled his membership last November, but this place continued to charge him every month without his knowledge. Before he left, he confirmed with the front desk that his membership was canceled, and he was assured there was nothing to worry about. Unfortunately, this was not true. I personally accompanied my father to resolve the issue. When we arrived, the staff couldn’t find his account, only to discover that there are two separate accounts: one for payments and one for check-ins. This system is incredibly deceptive. Canceling the check-in account doesn’t stop the payments, leaving people unknowingly being charged after they believe they’ve canceled. What made matters worse was the general manager's attitude. Instead of acknowledging their mistake, he blamed us for not canceling correctly. The fact that only the general manager has access to payment accounts and we had to go through him to cancel is ridiculous. My father was charged for nine months without his consent, and they only refunded him for three months. I’ve since noticed that other reviewers have reported the same issue. It’s clear this isn’t an isolated incident, but rather a pattern of dishonest practices. I strongly advise avoiding this place due to its shady operations and poor customer service.

Excellent course all around. Great character which uses the hilly land to perfection. The course is a little shorter than most at a par 67 but it offers a nice challenge of par 3's, 4's, and 5's. My favorite part of the course is the seclusion you feel while walking the grounds. The holes snake around the property and through Brea Creek and really transports you away from the city. Tip of the hat to the greenskeepers as the greens were in great shape. In addition, I visited this course on a Saturday, had a 9 am tee time and I was done by 12:45 in the afternoon. Cant beat that on a weekend round anywhere. A must visit ☺
