I love this park . It is very clean all the time . I just don't like the fact how everyone has their dogs off leash when it is supposed to be on leash. Trained or not. Still a rule to follow. At least until you get to dog park . Other than that I love how this park always has fun activities for the community . For example movie nights . That's awesome . You can't find that anywhere these days .

Kind of confusing on the map since it says MacArthur park is the playground on the right side of the road, but the large park next to the baseball field also has a MacArthur park sign. Regardless … Park next to the baseball field and then you’ll see the MacArthur Park sign and Bathrooms available. Cute grassy area with some hills, No picnic tables but a few shady trees to sit under if you wanted to picnic. Looks like they just added another fenced in area for off leash dogs - very large and pretty well kept! They have some doggy bags and trash cans too.

I like this park a lot. This review is not for the child's playground at the community center, but for the park across the street. There is ample parking either at the baseball field for the south entrance, or at the north near the pool. At the north entrance is the community pool, community garden and basketball courts. Parking is uncovered. There are shady areas and one sitting area next to the pool entrance. At the south entrance there is the restroom building, a small fenced dog area, uncovered seating and tables and the path leading to the grass/park area. Much of the park is uncovered and unshaded. There are scattered trees and small shaded areas to find a space to walk your dog or picnic. At the north end of the park the noise level can get loud, as the north end is right next to the 8 freeway which is visible from the north hill. Much of the park on this side is also lined by homes/backyards. Lots of open space, fresh air and rolling hills. Wear shoes that can go uphill/downhill if possible. Some of the north paths are very steep for flipflops or slides. Leash your dogs please! Many dog owners are not mindful of the park rules, or don't have commands available to call their loose dog back to them. A little irritating at times: Im a dog person, but wouldn't let my dog bother others enjoying the park that may not be. Overall it's a beautiful park, and not too busy on weekends unless there's a baseball game.

Thanks for providing such a detailed review of the park! It seems like a great place with plenty of amenities and open space for various activities. The ample parking options and diverse facilities, such as the community pool, basketball courts, and dog area, make it suitable for different interests. Your description of the park's layout and features, including the presence of shady areas and the potential for noise from the nearby freeway, provides valuable insights for visitors planning their activities. Additionally, your reminder about leash rules for dogs and consideration for others' enjoyment of the park is important for maintaining a positive atmosphere for all visitors. Overall, it sounds like a beautiful park with plenty of opportunities for relaxation, recreation, and enjoying the outdoors. Thanks for sharing your experience!

Surrounded by trees, hilly, grassy, and quiet. This serene park is a wonderful respite for playing with your dog, meeting friends and family, reading, practicing, or whatever. It has an enclosed fenced area for dogs as well.
