Shady Rest Disc Golf Course is one of the most beautiful disc golf courses I’ve ever played. Nestled among tall trees, the 18-hole course offers a stunning natural setting and a variety of challenging holes. The long fairways and dense tree cover make it an exciting course for advanced players, but it’s still enjoyable for all skill levels. The tee pads are excellent, providing a solid base for every throw. I visited on a summer weekday in late June and was pleasantly surprised by how uncrowded it was—I only saw two other groups during my round, making it a peaceful and enjoyable experience. If you’re traveling through the area, I highly recommend stopping by Shady Rest Disc Golf Course. It’s definitely worth the visit!

While rated/designed for intermediates and pros, the course is fun for everyone who intends to have fun. Some beginners who are very serious may be frustrated at the amount of trees and narrow fairways. That being said, if you go in with the perspective of having fun and not necessarily doing well, you'll have a BLAST! Insanely beautiful course, professionally designed etc. Here's my perspective. I went with my siblings, so ages 21 to 16. We all had a lot of fun. It was our first time playing disc golf. We didn't do super well, but we had some nice throws and a lot of fun. Like a short hike while you throw discs. Bad part. Not fully installed. Nearly all holes have 2 tees and 2 baskets. All the tees are installed, but each hole has only one basket installed. Personally, didn't care too much. Would've liked the option, but as a complete first timer it was fun to play 18. Other room for improvements: -money went into burning trails, would like to see some branches along the side to make them more obvious. This would also guide people to stay on trail between holes to reduce erosion. Really nice course, fun for the family and disc golf enthusiasts... everyone in fact. Not rated 5 stars for the baskets not being in place. The trail branches is just extra.

This course is very challenging, but it's great for getting your skills up to par. With all the trees scattered throughout the 18holes you're bound to hit more than a handful, but once you're able to maneuver around them it's a great feeling

Great great park. Groomed trails for the winter. No disc golf really. Classic grooves are not very deep, nice trails.
