DISC Surgery Center at Newport Beach

I had a total hip replacement done here by Dr. Shore two weeks ago. The level of care provided in this surgery center far surpasses the care I have received at other medical facilities. Everyone here is nice, helpful, and informative. From the intake call I received a week before the surgery to the wheel chair ride out to the car when I left, everyone was nice, informative, and knowledgeable. I especially like that I had a private room while I was there. I would not hesitate to have surgery done here again in the future.

I just had surgery here today. Everything went so good and I was so happy with my care that I couldn't wait to review this wonderful surgical center. Let me just say that the team here is amazing, compassionate and very attentive to all your needs. Dr. Kim performed my artificial disc replacement and did a very good job. He is amazing. But before seeing Dr. Kim on surgery day, I had 2 amazing nurses take care of me and guide me through pre op prep and post op care. Rachel and Tammy two of the best nurses I've ever had care for me. The O.R. team and anesthesiologist were also very caring. I couldn't be any happier for the care I received. As for the facility, it bad very neat, clean, and organized. Just for a heads up you are only allowed to bring 1 person with you past the waiting room. I was immediately welcomed with a warm gown to change into and taken to my room for prep. Rachel is very patient and attentive to all my questions and needs. Tammy took over for Rachel in the middle of my post Op who is equally amazing. You get fed chicken soup and apple sauce after your surgery but they will allow you to bring food that you prefer to have after your surgery. There a microwave there to warm up your preferred food. Overall I recommend the team at DISC Sport and Spine Center for your spinal care.

Codie in the business office is terrible. She has never returned one of my many calls to her office and has not been honest with regard to her communications with my insurance company and provider network. She kept blaming them for the 2 months of delays when it was she that caused the delays. I finally gave up and had to change surgeons and start the process all over. Because of her dishonesty and delays I've been in a great deal of unnecessary pain and now have to pay my deductible and OOP max again. Find another surgery center who cares about their patients enough to respond instead of a dishonest run around.

Dr. Bray and his team are a pleasure. Between my initial consult to follow up testing. Am thoroughly impressed & happy that there is a plan forward. Being from Canada I really appreciate their expertise and ability to be so thorough. Can't wait for my surgery in June
