One of my favorite places to grill in golden gate park. The area is generally well maintained and the grills and tables are in good shape. I also enjoy the added bonus of watching the disc golfers search for their lost discs. All in all a fantastic place to spend a day!!

A Great place to celebrate American democratic freedoms and most importantly capitalism, which gives us these beautiful freedoms. Here’s to Americas founding fathers ❤️🇺🇸

Tables were in decent shape and grills were functionality clean. Start the fire and give them a good scrub down but generally they were in good shape. It's a nice field with a good mix of sun and shade. Be careful though, the middle of the field can be waterlogged and very muddy... At least I think it was mud. Bathrooms across at Hellmann's hollow. Reservations online weren't too bad to get. $41 for the whole day. We were in the back at table 5 thinking it would be nice to be away from the road but the more forward tables were sufficiently secluded. 5 was a long walk especially if you have to make multiple trips to carry supplies to the table. Plenty of space between tables as well.

There are picnic tables here which provide a nice spot to have lunch with your sweetheart after a round of disc golf a the course next door. There are also good restroom facilities near by which is a huge plus. Parking has always been available when I have gone so I'd say this is a nice easy place to enjoy.

Great spot for picnics and BBQs in the summertime (or Indian summertime...) Tables can be reserved ahead of time by calling SF Parks and Recreation during their open hours. I booked tables #1 and #2 at Marx Meadow for $30, which included two tables and three grills! Marx Meadow is also in the middle of the disc golf path, so it's a great location for afternoon parties. Alcohol is allowed, but only beer and wine, no kegs or liquor. I have also seen bounce houses here, and dogs are welcomed too.
