I had a great experience! The trail around the lake was truly enjoyable. The route has minimal elevation changes, making it comfortable for everyone—kids, seniors, and adults alike. There are no steep climbs or sharp descents, so you can walk it at a relaxed pace without much effort. The views along the way are stunning. Almost the entire trail offers picturesque views of the lake, where you can see people boating. You can also rent boats, pedal boats, and other watercraft, which adds to the fun and variety. I highly recommend this trail for a peaceful walk and a refreshing nature getaway!

Always a great time at Chabot Park. Parking both outside the park and inside. Would not recommend parking outside due to break-ins. Parking in the lot was $5. The lot does sometimes get full especially on weekends. Many trail options. Mostly paved but do not be fooled. Although this trail is paved there are many incline/declines if you are starting at the left side. Great for stroller walking but stay to the right side starting point. Caution walking the entire lake late in the day. It can take up to 5 hours to walk the entire lake at a good pace. Very kid friendly park. More to do than just walk the lake. You can rent paddle boats, canoe, and kayaks. I thought I saw larger bost to rent but unsure. Popular spot for birthday party's on the weekend. There is an exercise park near the cafe. The cafe has some good snack and food options. Treat yourself after that long hard walk with an ice cream at the cafe. Restrooms are gender specific and located at the front of the park as well as some along the trail.

Ok...seriously one of the best parks in the Bay Area. Hiking on about every level beginner to advanced, bike trails everywhere, children's park, volley net, Frisbee golf, lake views, Bay Area History education, picnic and BBQ areas, dog off leash areas, and overgrown but properly cared for areas to explore for hours.

A really nice place to walk your dog or go jogging. The picnic and dock areas are typically pretty crowded and full of people, but the crowds will thin as you take the Lake Chabot loop. The first ~2miles from the docks will be paved and very accessible (both directions), while the rest of the 5 miles will be packed dirt roads with some bridges and trails. This is a very popular place for families and it can get crowded on the weekends. You will need to pay to park your car in the park, though the streets around Chabot are free parking.

Beautiful place with clear water lake and forest trails! Even during noon time, walking in the shade is very comfortable in the fall! There is a great picnic area near the parking lot! There are swings for kids to play! Quite some people are playing frisbee! A great place to be in the nature and relax!!!
