This place was a real treat, lots of challenge but still fair. I need to play it again as I now know where not to hit it on every hole 😅. Seriously though the course is in great shape, driving range and putting greens were nice and staff was very helpful. The only thing keeping this from being a 5 were the tee boxes. Every one was quite thrashed and uneven, making driving extra difficult. Which was odd because the rest of the course was in tip-top shape, especially for Novemeber. Please don't let that keep you from visiting though. I will be back for Round 2!

Lots of hundreds years old BIG BIG TREES, on both sides of fairways, so you really have to get your balls in the middle of fairways, otherwise those trees will block your next shot badly. The back 9 is a lot more fun, up and down hills, ditch in the middle of the fairways, and I like Hole 13 the most, especially the way they set up the green in between the trees, plus the sunset, just amazing.

For the 90 bucks it cost to play... there are many other courses better maintained. The tee boxes were not mowed... long grass in all of them making it difficult to tee off. Greens were terrible as well. When was the last time these were sanded? Plugged? The fairways were not much better either. Where are the fees going? It's certainly not to course maintenance..... even Pajaro, which is terrible, is in better condition! It also seems that the management only responds to positive reviews... leaving me to assume it will be left in this condition. No worries... plenty of other, better maintained courses that will get my money!

The practice driving range is one of the best in the area. It's large and well-maintained, and it has a variety of targets to help you improve your swing. It also has covered stalls and lights, so during winter months you can still practice regardless the weather! The junior golf program is excellent. Parker Hammond is an experienced and passionate instructor who will help your kids develop their skills and love the game of golf. The Grille at Delaveaga is also a great place to grab a bite to eat before or after your round. The new menu is full of delicious options, I would highly recommend trying! Overall, I had a great experience at Delaveaga Golf Course in Santa Cruz. The course is well-maintained, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a great day of golf.

Really enjoyed playing here. Very beautiful course and with a good level of difficulty. It was super hot in the bay area while here I played with 75 degrees and significantly less people than in some of the courses I typically play. I plan to come here once per week now
