A sketchy but beautiful park. The park is a nice size, with two play grounds, a basket ball court and a couple soccer fields. My friend and I wanted to go for an evening walk outside so we decided to stop at this park. When we pulled up to the parking lot we noticed a lot of parked cars but the park seemed empty. There was a man working on an RV in the parking lot that seemed broken down and like it had been there for a long time. Another car was filled with teens getting high. At the other end of the park there was a tent with someone living in there. We decided to walk up on the sidewalk parallel to the park- big mistake. On the opposite side of the embankment were plenty of homeless tents. We felt uncomfortable and unsafe because there was a teen on a bike who road by us holding a rifle. The park itself is beautiful but it’s in the ‘hood’. I wouldn’t feel comfortable going alone or bringing my family here.

I don't usually write one star reviews, but this one might be saving lives so here it goes. I was at Eva Dell Park yesterday. Everything seemed fine, as the only other people there were an elderly couple watching my wife and me play with our kids. I was in high alert mode since I was a tourist to the area and the neighborhood seemed questionable. I went to the restroom (the toilets didn't have walls or doors), and a homeless man was using the faucet to shower himself. That wasn't a huge deal to me because I've seen that at other parks, even in affluent neighborhoods. As we were getting ready to go, a car pulled up, and a man walked out as my wife and I were separately transferring our two children from the stroller to the car on separate sides of the vehicle. The man was walking straight to our car, and I approached him. He began waving an X-ACTO knife in my face, the blade not yet out. I asked him what he wanted, and he told me that my wife wanted the knife and to give it to her. My wife, at this point, was throwing our children and belongings in our car, slamming doors shut as I continued to kill time and go back and forth with the guy and tell him that we were not interested in the knife, with him replying to just give it to her. Finally, my wife yelled to me that we were ready to go. I ran to the driver's side, got in, and drove off. We were lucky to get away. As I rushed from the passenger side of the vehicle to the driver's side, we noticed a second person who we felt was part of the scheme inching towards me but quickly ducked away as soon as he saw me running to the door. I don't think the one person was a one-off. There seemed to be a bigger coordinated plan at play from our perspective. Needless to say, I wouldn't go here, period.

Great open fields. Two nice size baseball fields and still plenty of grass to host some soccer games. I only saw one bathroom location.

So I went there to support sports and family. The park is really nice and has a beautiful view however the area is all bad. A lot of encampment set up on and around the park. Some of the ground is covered in trash. However, if you are there to support soccer and want to get something to eat... the vendor there on Saturdays is amazing. She's there from like 8am- 630ish PM and thefood is 😋 delicious! There are Tortas, Tacos, Mexican Candy, Chips, Fruit, Variety of Drinks (non-alcoholic), all kinds of stuff! I had a torta with everything. . omg just sooo good!
