Gorgeous mountain course! Lovely drive on a well maintained dirt road and the course has recently been upgraded with new baskets and paver tee pads.

This place is stunning!! The course is easy to navigate and the change in elevation throughout the course made it fun and interesting. We also had the best guide, a cute pup named Rosie. She walked with us from hole to hole..... most of the time lol. Will definitely will be taking friends back!!!

First, I want to thank the owners of this homestead - thank you for allowing the public to enjoy your own secluded wilderness! I appreciate the work and maintenance they put in to make this one of the best disc golf courses I've ever been to (I've been everywhere between the Mississippi and the Pacific). Unlike most courses, they maintain and update the holes, and there are the original DIY baskets, along with grade A baskets. Make sure you have the disc golf course mapped before you venture out, as there is no cell signal out there - that's what makes it so great! Careful of the road leading there, dirt road currently being worked on. Once you get on Buckhorn road, the 10 miles through the rocky mountains will take about 25min to get to the course. Turn right on forest service rd 100 - You'll come up on what looks like someone's small house and property with a small wind turbine - you'll be greeted by 2 nice dogs. Turn right once you've passed the house and park near the "parking sign". Walk up through the red cattle gate, and you'll see a red stop sign directing you to the first tee, map, and fee box (totally worth the 5 bucks!). The course has a very small creek that runs through along with trees here and there. Open range within, some beautiful brown cows and a white horse cheered me on by hole 4. Vicious chipmunks and cute harmless snakes were also around. The only sounds were the trees getting whacked by my discs and a distant jetliner - so peaceful. Hole 12 was the only hole I was unsure of, the rest were challenging and fun!

Golden Eagle Disc Golf in the Buckhorn Canyon. This is a large slice of heaven. 18 holes of Disc golf criss-crossing through the statuesque white Aspen trees with the black ever seeing eyes, trickling streams and majestic mountains. Be sure to take a picture of the map before you start so you know where you are headed next on this rambling hike through the woods. Chasing plastic has never been more serene and fun! Be sure to fill up your water bottles at the mountain spring tap right by the first tee. You will want to wear a sturdy pair of shoes, I prefer my hiking boots, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen and snacks. Remember to pack out whatever you bring in. There are out houses at the course and a camp ground (contact them first about availability and pricing). There is a pay per person collection box at the first tee as well.

What a gem! Great views, creative holes, wildlife, fresh air and friendly people. They even have camping in the center. I've played tons of courses in CO and this is my favorite by leaps and bounds. Go on up and say hi to Tom and Wes!
