A wonderful hidden jem just out of the city. This is a wonderful place to experience nature. There are hiking trails, horse trails, and bike trails. Primitive camping with 13 tent sites and six RV sites. Clean restrooms and showers are up front and available. Great fishing in the lakes as well.

We love coming to McCarty Ranch. When are y'all going to reopen the campsites? You could just limit the number of spaces, rather than close all campsites. Camping is probably the least likely place to come into contact with someone who's carrying it...just sayin'. (It would be 5 stars if some of the camp sites were available.)

The best camping spot in the TriCounty area. Camping has a fee out here and you have to make reservations. The camping areas are quiet and fairly secluded, and there are Bathrooms and Showers. Several times a year large events are held out here, like the Halloween bonfire. And there are R.V. camping slots at the other end of the lake. This is a pet friendly campground, and there are a few expansion projects going on the the Preserve where they are creating new paths for hiking.

Great 3 mile loop around the water for a run or walk! There is a disc golf course and several trails to explore. A wonderful place to spend some time in nature!

Beautiful open land, nice and quiet. Saw an alligator on the hiking trail!
