Empire Park

I went to this park for one of the Birthday party. The park is sideby to Mississippi river. The park has 3 big shelters with wooden benches and barbecue place. The park entrance is on main road. The park has space for 30+ family members outing. For kids, park has a big wooden play area. Kids can spend time there. Overall good experience.

Visited the park to play disc golf. Was a lot of fun. The only downside was the tee off locations were grass and not cement or asphalt which can throw off your balance. Overall no big deal though.

Was a nice park once upon a time. The park is dirty with trash every where. The wood playground has deteriorated and there is an obvious lack of maintenance. The location is still nice,right by the river, but it has seen better days.

I grew up here in Hampton, and I seen this park its glory days. But this park today is a safety hazard. It’s falling apart. There are screws sticking out of the wood for kids to hurt their hands. I lot of stuff is broken and unrepaired. I give it a one star rating.
