I had been looking forward to playing The Canyons Disc Golf Course in Lockwood, IL, after hearing such great things about it. While traveling through the area, I had to make a stop—but unfortunately, it was a weekend when the course was closed, and most of the fairways were occupied by military vehicles and camps. Despite not being able to play, I walked much of the course, and I have to say, it looks incredible! The layout is thoughtfully designed, with beautiful terrain and challenging features. It’s definitely one I need to return to and play properly when everything’s back to normal. Looking forward to getting back here soon!

Fantastic course offering a variety of layouts for players of all skill levels. I got there at 7am on a Saturday and was the first in the lot. Plenty of bathroom facilities at the beginning and throughout as well. Shop wasnt open but it looked nice as well. Glad I made my way over there and got a round in. Memorable course!

Simply the best disc golf course in Illinois. It provides a scenic round of golf incorporating the small canyons carved by the local river. The course has multiple layouts that provide a fun round for just about all skill levels. The hole variety is a blast, with a great mix of shot shapes, elevation, and distance. The course grounds are meticulously maintained by the local park district, who seemingly knows they have a gem of a course on their hands. To top it off, they have a great pro shop I'm always happy to support when I'm there for a round.
