Awesome park!!! A few details that might help. There's a play area and a 13 hole disc golf. There's parking that can be accessed from 156th on the north end of the park. As of right now, there's a port-a-potty right next to the play area. The disc golf course provides a good challenge and some holes have two tees for different skill levels

Course not complete, but first 13 holes in. 5 more coming once the land is obtained. As of now, plays 2 loops. 1-7 starts down the path beside 156th. Goes CW with 4,5,6 having two tees. Unavoidable path walk to near playground for 8-13. Plays CCW through more wooded area. 13 has two tees. Beginners should use shorter tees to avoid throwing discs into the water. Basket inside if oxbow is for practice, but could play as 7.5 if no one is there. We hope you enjoy the new course!! Update: working on getting some of the tall grass mowed on a couple holes. Feedback to Urbandale Parks&Rec appreciated!

Nice par 3 course. Isn't a full 18. The downfall right now is they was a lot of sewer co structure last year and this year. Therefor a lot of the holes have been removed. I recommend just starting at hole 9. Straight across from the playground.

Great for a round of disc golf. There is a pair of great horned owls that reside in the trees near Basket 11. I spotted them on August, 14th, 2023. You can also find song sparrows, great crested flycatchers, northern cardinals and eastern meadowlarks.

Awesome disc golf course, which was designed by Gannon Buhr, who won US disc golf championship 2022, also an Urbandale native. It's a nice mix of hard, medium and easy holes. Would love to run into Gannon playing here some day :) The course can get pretty busy in times, enough that we often found multiple lost discs in one day. I myself lost 2 discs here already so far. One is green the other is white. There's huge construction projects going near by but the course still playable. If this park has a permanent restroom that would be best.
