Rice community center has been closed to the public for too long. Leaving a disruption in the growth of youth. Predicted this back in 2010 as the hours kept dwindling down. If I were apart of parks and recreation I'd be disappointed. Well at least they still tend to seniors and private company's/organizations.

If you can get past the fact that you're kind of in the ghetto of Topeka, this is really a nice park. It has a decent 9 hole Disc Golf course. The baskets are old and kinda beat up, but it adds character. There's also a small playground and a pavilion with grilling capabilities.

The back of the park needs cleaned up! it's got a lot of trash and I'm really concerned about maybe homeless hanging out there! I would not feel safe having a child play by themselves in that Park.

Played a round of disc golf on the short 9 hole course. Nice little course. There is just a lot of trash in the park. And its not in the best part of town.

The course was well kept. I wish they had markers on the actual pads. Nothing a simple Google of the map can't help. Had fun and that's all it's about.
