We camped here three nights November 2024. $25 night full hookups. Sites are relatively level with new asphalt. Two camp grounds upland has full hookups and bottom land just water/elec. Very pretty with 8 miles of interior roads great for bike riding. The canoe trip down the river takes about an hour, they rent canoes and tubes. Also they rent golf carts. Have a great mountain bike course and disc golf. Good T-Mobile 5g.

We stayed at the park and rented the lodge and cabin for my bridal party and family while in town for a wedding and it was fantastic. The lodge has two very comfortable master bedrooms, two large bathrooms, and two bunk bed rooms with two bunk beds in each. The cabin had a master bedroom, a two bunkbed rooms, and a bathroom. The kitchens comes fully stocked with plates, cups, utensils, etc everything you would need. There is a tv and beautiful screened in porch in both the cabin and lodge. The park staff was so friendly and the playground was incredible! Lots to explore and do and a really nice, well maintained park! A great place for a family get together

We enjoyed the Cabin. Cabin 1 has a longer walk than say Cabin 2, but a cart was provided to cart our things from the car to the cabin on a paved walkway. It had 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed (queen I think) and the other had 4 bunk beds. The living area had plenty of room to move around. The screened porch was a cozy hangout spot to listen to early morning sounds with a cup of coffee. The splash pad and playground we very nice. Splash pad was on (October).

Gave us the wrong spot when we first got here.Wednesday before thanksgiving. I came with all my family. We had five campsites, and they put me in the bottom, land away from my family have had to drive in a car back and forth a whole trip. said they had no more spots available.But through that whole camping trip that we've been here.There's been five spots open the whole time. Also I went to o rent a Golf cart, and they told me there were none. They took my name.I'm supposed to call me when they were available again. If we wasn't camping with our entire family, it wouldn't have been that big a deal. But for thanksgiving, hauling food back . And every time I needed something from my camper, I would have to get in the car and drive all the way back up to where the horses are, it just was very much a pain. and also had to deal with the flies that were terrible over there by the horses.Now we have roaches coming in our camper.] needless to say, we'll not be back here camping.We have made reservations for our thanksgiving and another campground.

I attended a weekend in Bogue Chitto State Park October 11-13, 2024 with the Louisiana Master Naturalists. The weekend was filled with fun, and excitement. This is the best Louisiana State Park I have ever been to! The park is very clean, and meticulously maintained. This was my first visit, but it most certainly won’t be my last. Do yourself, and your family a favor, and plan a trip to Bogue Chitto State Park, Franklinton, Louisiana.
