I’ve been going here since I was a wee child. Finally went back the other day after a while w/ a friend. Very grateful to live relatively near such a beautiful state park (under 30 min)! The lake shore trail is around 3.7 miles, should take about 1.5 hours or so depending on pace & how able-bodied one is! It’s a state park so this is obvious, but it’s great how there a different trails (bike, run/walk, mixed too I think), places to hang, picnic tables and grills, volleyball courts and more. :) I haven’t been in a while but there’s also the Winter Lights fest, which is adorable. For the non locals: it’s a winter lights show/display you can enjoy as you slowly drive through the park. Very family-friendly. The other day there was high wildfire risk, so they had very clear warning signs to not create any fires.

Love the blue trail around the lake. It’s about 2.5 miles to go all the way around and low to moderate difficulty (mostly an unpaved trail). For those with physical limitations or accessibility needs, I would recommend the paved sidewalks, which there are several with views of the lake. We really appreciated that there is a bathroom available to guests and that there was ample parking.

We went for the Winter ❄️ Lights and it was a nice long line of lights. *I haven't been here for a picnic, playground or even in the daytime so this review may be updated at another time.*

Great winter lights were available in this park. The price during weekends was $25 per car. Better to go right after they open at 6pm. The line could become much longer later.
