An excellent park - even on a cold day, the whole family enjoyed the playground and the many interactive features to swing, climb, rock, make music and spin. This is one of the best designed playgrounds we've ever enjoyed. I look forward to exploring the dog park and sports fields when we have an opportunity.

John G. Lancaster Park is a great spot for a relaxing walk or a game of basketball, and it even features a well-maintained dog park with a separate area for small dogs. It’s the perfect place to unwind, stay active, and spend time outdoors, whether you’re solo or with your furry friend. It’s very clean.

This park has soccer, football, softball, baseball, and open play fields along with basketball courts, a walking trail, and two (1 large & 1 small) fenced-in dog parks. There is a bathroom near the softball fields and a bathroom near the football field and the playground. The bathrooms are open year round. In December, the bathrooms were open, heated, and clean. We recently spent an hour at the updated playground. It has a variety of climbing apparatuses, slides, swings, balancing walks, etc. The equipment side for the littles (1 to 5 years) is fenced-in so the children are safely contained. The playground area for the older children (6 to ?? years) has an open edge. This allows for a continued game of chase or freeze tag or open play (ball pass, frisbee, etc). The CLEAN bathrooms are within 20 yards of this large playground area. This park is adjacent to Passive Park. There are smaller playground areas, plenty of strolling trails, a frisbee football course, a bathroom, and a historic building. Both these parks are FREE to enter on regular operating days. Special events do often occur at these parks, so keep an eye out!!
