For the price of having a catered event here you would think the food and service would be far better tasting and catered to good customer service. Servers were rude, lacking patience and unprofessional. Food was terrible, rice was crunchy and uncooked, white chicken breast was tender but lacked flavor. I am shocked that this venue was not better as it's advertised. I could only thank God my husband and I did not select this venue for my wedding! Truly over priced and low ranking in quality, customer service and even it's appeal. Just not the place for formal events or weddings in my opinion. Their decor was drab and low budget that I am wondering who did it.

Omg the view is breath taking. Staff is extremely friendly. If you are planning a wedding Julie was so helpful and kind. I love this place!

Hunt Valley Country Club was the absolute perfect venue for my wedding! We met with Anna in August 2017, and her charm and knowledge immediately made us feel at ease! She showed us all around the beautiful venue, which includes floor to ceiling glass windows encasing three of the four walls in the newly renovated reception hall and overlooking the well-manicured and maintained golf course and pond, a gorgeous wood bar area, updated carpeting and beautiful chandeliers, tasteful décor, a rather large wedding party room (for the wedding party to get dressed, eat, drink, and de-stress inside throughout the day), beautiful bathrooms, and of course, a huge tent and balcony overlooking the golf course, under which we got married on June 29, 2018. As if that wasn’t enough to make us fall in love with the venue (it was), Anna walked us through all they were willing to offer, including discounts for a Friday wedding, all linens – and they have a huge array of color choices – silverware, tableware, and glassware, and they also provided us with many options for our dinner and cocktail spread. We loved having so many choices, and the fact that the pricing was extremely affordable gave us the ability to add more, such as an open bar for guests. Our tasting was amazing; everything was delectable, and Hunt Valley Country Club even took care of the cake and centerpieces for us! Seriously, Hunt Valley Country Club is an amazing, classy, elegant establishment, and the perfect venue. It is a one-stop shop, and the only vendors I needed to go outside for were the DJ, photographer, florist, and photobooth. And on top of all this, Hunt Valley Country Club also included a day-of-coordinator, Emily, as part of our contract. Emily was fantastic! She and Anna sat down with us and went through a huge checklist so they knew exactly what was needed and what we expected a month ahead of time (plus, they kept in constant email contact with use throughout our engagement—from August to June). Emily also put together the floor plan, double checked all linen colors and floor spacing, determined our timeline, ran us through our rehearsal, verified all our planned decorations, and had us bring all our decorations up two days in advance. Emily and her team then decorated the entire venue for us – making the decoration aspect of the wedding completely stress free for me (and then they packed it all back up for us and had our decorations waiting for my family to pick up the next day)! I was so impressed! Emily even pinned all the boutonnieres and corsages on our wedding party! To be honest, Emily, Anna, and their team are the reason my wedding day was perfect! There wasn’t one issue nor one thing I would change; I’ve heard from many brides that their day didn’t go exactly as planned, but mine went exactly as I envisioned, and I 100% owe that to Emily and Anna. They were superb and fantastic, and I highly recommend them and the Hunt Valley Country Club! Do yourself a favor and contact Anna to see the venue. You won’t be disappointed!

We've been members at Hunt Valley Country Club for nearly 10 years. We were just looking for a pool to join that wasn't too crowded. We were formerly at Eagle's Nest, but disliked the fact that they would have everyone exit the pool for their swim team to use the pool. When they asked all their members to write checks to help them bail the club out, we left. HVCC sees a new general manager and staff every couple of years. So your experience may vary based upon who the staff and management is. For the pool, there have been good years and bad years. This year, they actually outsourced the lifeguards, which has been great, but they speak little English. Food at the pool is hit or miss. A salad is $12, but add a single chopped up chicken tender to it and it jumps to $16. Beverages are pricey as well. Service is good, though, it was better under the former GM who encouraged staff to work hard to earn tips. Pool facilities definitely are showing their age with rust coming from the storage closet, cracked pavement, and a sound system that seems to work half the time. The pool isn't cleaned that often as well. We were there three times this week, and it's still dirty on the pool floor. The drinking fountain has been out of order for weeks. Food at the Club House is generally good but overpriced. You can get the same food at Manor Tavern or Michael's Cafe for the same price or less. For the baseline membership you pay, about $220 a month, you would think they would lower food costs to encourage you to buy more. I know I would. Activity fees are all over the map and highly inconsistent. Last year, they had Easter brunch with roast beef, ham, shrimp, and all kinds of great food for $50 per adult and $15 per child. A week later they held a pasta buffet with a magician for $75 flat eaten for anyone. That's right, noodles and sauce for $75. That must have been one hell of a magician. While the golf course is beautiful, and the new Events Coordinator is doing a great job with programming, the fees and costs are just too high. They also charge a 3% fee monthly if you use a credit card to pay, and gratuity is worked into the pool food. So your $12 mojito is actually going to cost you $14.5. If HVCC could: - Lower its food and beverage prices below area restaurants to demonstrate the value of membership - Be consistent with activity fees or include a set number of activities with the membership by default - Keep a set of Management more than 2 years - Develop a 10 year plan to govern the Club and execute on it - Better maintain it's facilities and even improve them year over year We would be staying on as members. Sadly, for what we pay each year (around $9000) we just don't see the value any more, and will be leaving the club this fall.

Just hosted a rehearsal dinner and attended the wedding next day. The food is really great, but talk to the chef for ideas better than the selections they present. Staff handled things very well (Jillian coordinated the whole thing, both nights. Paula was a great bartender both nights, and Chris (hope I'm not wrong) served us well. I haven't been to a wedding in 10 years, so I won't nitpic the place, although I did feel that the hors d'oeuvres could've been served with less waste. Everything was placed in the mini plastic container with shredded red cabbage and carrots, which we would've gladly eaten if we had forks. Also, I wasn't impressed with laying out the cupcakes open on a large table, the entire time. I guess we don't spread the virus eating it? But since we can't do buffets any more, I thought the cupcakes were "buffeted". We had beautiful weather, the outside area was great for the cocktail hour and ceremony. Inside, apparently, you don't "have to wear" your mask. That made me a bit uncomfortable, as most people went without one. I wore mine when up and about, but stayed closest to my family group. Overall, it was a great weekend.
