A Wonderful Visit to the Ella Sharp Museum! My wife and I recently visited the Ella Sharp Museum to see the traveling exhibit on Julia Child, and we had a fantastic time. The exhibit was fascinating and well put together, offering great insights into Julia Child's life and her incredible impact on cooking. We also took some time to explore the stationary museum exhibits on the history of Jackson, which, while brief, were very interesting and gave a nice snapshot of the local history. We decided to skip the wildlife exhibit this time, but we will not checking it out on a future visit. It was just not us. The museum grounds looked absolutely beautiful, and we can't wait to return during the summer to fully explore them when the weather is warmer. It’s clear that the outdoor spaces offer a lot of potential for leisurely walks and enjoying nature. Unfortunately, we missed out on the planetarium due to timing, but that just gives us another reason to come back. Overall, the Ella Sharp Museum is a charming and enriching place to visit. We’re looking forward to returning soon!

Big, clean, and a great place alone or with others. Perfect location for other events like the Heart of the Lion 5k Caution the GPS will likely take you across the main road to a golf course location.

I love this park and the variety of different experiences, terrain. The playground is decent, one of the only ones with shade at times. There are trails and small bodies of water to explore. There's miniature golf for paying customers. Museum with out buildings you can walk the paths and look in windows. Nicked a star because at some times of the year you can't drive through the park because the city blocks the road. I love exploring this park, but I don't want to walk alone with my daughter down roads that are not being actively traveled by traffic. If something happened on an off-road trail it's more likely to find help if the roads are open. Love the different events that are hosted here .... lots of sports, lectures in the museum, festivals with kid's activities, great place to fly a kite! Ample garbage bins & porta potties.

I've been going to Ella Sharp Park for well over ten year's, riding and walking the Trails. I'm currently in the process of getting a long abandoned area of Trail reopened and have been working on this for over two year's. I had one area just reopened when a Severe Thunderstorm came through bringing down several Tree's forcing me to look for another area to get access and found it hidden and I started working little by little just using my hands. I've gone as far as I can go, the Trails are walkable just need some more man power with the proper tool's to be able to get it more opened to be rideable. I was just able to find another opening to get back into the original area that I had opened last year, and these Trail Pathways do connect with the new area of Trails, this area of Trails is not the same as it was over a decade ago because of downed Tree's and limbs, the original Trail Pathways are all still there, I got as much reopened as humanly possible and still got a long ways to go.
