I walked the trails and disc golf course. The reason I give the park a 4 is because if youbarent familiar with the trails it is easy to get turned around. Many of the map legends around the course have been weathered or vandalized. The park otherwise is very clean and has potential to be top notch. The disc golf course has a beautiful pond and also parts along the river with benches and trash cans.

The trails are fantastic. I observe the facilities (pavilion, RC race track, disc golf course, play ground for children, etc) are top notch. So much of the park had been left to natural growth which is wonderful. I love the pond. My complaints on this park is that the drive in is dirt and needs frequent grading otherwise it gets really bumpy and after the rain it is full of deep puddles. The second thing is people let their dogs off the leash which is against park rules. I never know if these free running dogs will be friendly or attack dogs. Nobody seems to ever patrol the park to enforce the leash rule.

Lousy discgolf course. pretty average first 3 holes, but after that, the course designers seem to loose any idea what there doing. Baskets placed in random spots with no obvious fairways, t-pads places in spots where you cant even see the baskets, and no signs even showing where there at. Also, zero indicationa how to find the next T-pad even with the map. A few times i had to wonder around the park looking for the next hole. The only thing going for the course is the large, level T-pads and the new, top of the line, Discraft Chainstar-Pro baskets. Over-all a below average course, but probably good enough for the casuals and local community,

Grand Woods Park Big, easy entrance, lots of parking. Restrooms. Came here for the Hmong Lansing new year in 2023/2024. Solid place. Just big enough for Hmong people. Only one entrance and exit. Recommended

Grand Woods Park is a large park with many amenities, including a disc golf course. Beautiful hiking trails along the river.
