This course was built in 1982 and is very well maintained with a variety of technicality to each of the holes. Water hazards exist, along with thick underbrush and long grasses, which all together mean it is not unlikely that someone in your group could lose a disc. I'd recommend beginners play the back 9 first to avoid the water hazards. Most of the course is in the woods and is well shaded by large oak trees which give the park its namesake. With the redesign of the course in 2017, many holes now have a short and a long tee to choose from, and many also feature short and long baskets to go along with the varied tees. The pink baskets are the long ones, and the silver baskets are the short ones. Every hole has signage indicating the distance to the basket, number of strokes for par, where the baskets and major obstacles are located, and listing a clever name for each of the holes. The tees are almost exclusively made of concrete. Most baskets have a wooden post with a red arrow on them nearby to indicate where the next tee is, though I did reference a map found on a score tracking phone app that I use a couple of times. Overall a very nice course that locals regard as one of the best in the region.

Fun, FREE, 18-hole course! Options to play long or short baskets and boxes. Has five small-large water hazards, may want to bring a floating disc.

This is one of my go-to disc golf courses. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that upkeep has been very poor recently, with lots of overgrowth where there should be none--which, for a disc golf player who for some reason can't stop buying grass colored discs, isn't a good thing. Other than that, this course has great variety and is a fun play. Long holes and short holes; good holes for forehand and for backhand; some challenging water hazards but also the option to go short and play around them; it's got it all! For a pretty average disc golf player, this course is a challenge, but a do-able one. There's plenty of opportunities for birdies, but it's also easy to hit the wrong tree and end up with the dreaded triple bogey. Overall: I've spent way too much time here looking for discs, but it's a course that always has me coming back again for more. I would highly recommend this course to anyone, and if upkeep gets a little better, would give this course 5 stars.

The park gets a bit crowded and hectic with disc golfers. The low pools of water lead to mosquitos. Still, I love the shaded paths and playground on a hot day.

This is a great park for cycling. Not a fast paced get your miles in kind of place but a good 1 hour ride to keep up with your exercise routine.
