This nice campground has water and electricity hookups. You can go tent camping or bring an RV or camper. They have mowed hiking trails and multiple playgrounds, making it great for kids. However, it is a bit cramped with lots of people. It’s quiet at night, and there are plenty of park rangers patrolling, so it feels pretty safe. There are many bathrooms throughout the area. You can also fish and swim at the lake.

Manicured quaint and quiet state park with (I believe) 156 sites, most with electric, many with 50 amp. Immaculately maintained, 5 miles from Alden which has a Tops, Tractor Supply, Tim Horton's, McDonald's, gas stations and more (don't miss the 'Pink Cow' icecream stand with drive-thru). Camp wood available all over nearby but I've found the bundles of wood from Tops are the best, more expensive but it lights easy, burns well and lasts long, I haven't yet found any dry local firewood. There is a beach, picnic area, Frisbee golf, a small rec center and hiking trails galore. Sites in B-loop are mostly open with some shade, some more than others but lots of trees that are getting bigger every year. A-loop is wooded with mostly shade.

Stayed here for one night over the July 4th holiday weekend. Check in staff was very friendly. The campsite was easy to navigate and our site was nice and level. The shower was nice but it could have used a cleaning. I’m chalking that up to the person before me being messy. Overall it was a good stay. Campsite a64 is pictured below if you are looking for a nice spot. Would go back and use more of the amenities next time!

Beautiful. Lots of space for many different activities. Quiet and friendly area.

The fact that a police office is able to sit in the park and stalk campers to give them tickets, makes it not worth going there. She stated it was due to no seat belt however she sat at the dump station for 10 minutes plus, waiting for us to leave. Just be aware!
