I recently hosted my husband's surprise 50th at Bowling Green in the Grill Room. I didn't know much about this place but my husband is a golfer and always said it was his "favorite hidden gem" Being in the hospitality industry myself I had a vision of what I wanted and after a lot of searching - Bowling Green checked all of the boxes. I met with Jeni, the catering manager, and the chef to plan the menu which was customized to what we were looking for. From start to finish Jeni was extremely helpful and responsive answering all my emails right away which is a rarity these days. We were a group of about 70 people and the Grill Room was perfect giving us just the right amount of space to mingle. The weather even cleared up so my guests could enjoy the patio which overlooks the golf course. The Food: OUTSTANDING! The Chef had said that Cod Newburgh was something he enjoyed making so we went with it...and it certainly did not disappoint! The Staff: When I arrived, it was pouring rain and the kind gentlemen from the pro shop offered to help carry in my boxes of decorations. The Chef and Jeni were there to greet me and shared in my excitement for the upcoming surprise. The servers were extremely attentive and even made (the appropriate amount of) small talk with some of the guests. The bartenders were on point and handled (the heavy drinking crowd) flawlessly. I can now agree with my husband that Bowling Green is a hidden gem but should be on everyone's radar as a unique event venue beyond a golf course. Thank you again for making this celebration a success. 10+ Stars!!

Overpriced. Paid $120 on Saturday. Lousy food at the clubhouse, very short and tight course layout. Trees come into play every hole. Greens are average at best, and bunkers have no sand in them. Look elsewhere… enough reasons why this course is not fully booked on weekends.

The whole new experience to enjoy golf in a peacefully quiet forest! Air condition is so clean. Every managers or staffs are kind and professional :)

Tree-lined golf course, with some scenic views. I would say almost 50% of the holes you are teeing off blind but green and fairways are relatively well maintained not sure if I'd pay more than $100 everytime. Definitely a place to go in the fall for the scenic foliage.

Great golf course. Very friendly staff on the course and at the outdoor snack bar. Great beer selection.
