Fun, intermediate-level 9 hole course that most folks have a love-hate relationship with. Good if you're in the area and need a quick disc golf fix, not worth travelling for. Mostly Par 3s that reward good shot placement (fairways) and punish wild drives (roughs). Good - Fairways are well mowed, some variety of distance and fairway shape, Hole 9 is challenging but fun. Most of the course is in a large, open, grassy/scrubby field. You'll often have the course to yourself. Common to see Bald Eagles. Bad - the rough is BAD in the summer/early fall - bring a spotter, wear pants that can go through thorns, and expect to lose a disc or two. Teepads are small circles that prevent runups. It's about a 5 min walk to and from the course from the parking lot.

A 9-hole course where the marking is done well, and the holes aren't too challenging. However, the parking lot is a long way from the start of the course. And I cannot stress this enough, but the BRUSH is everywhere. You are very likely to lose a disc due to how thick and abundant it is. I would not recommend this course.

My wife and I are beginners. We enjoyed this course because it forced us to focus on our form to keep things in the fairway. Most holes had nicely mown fairways lined with thick vegetation. Wear pants if if you need to go in there(lots of thorn bushes).

It's obvious some effort was put into this course, but not enough for it to be good. Expect to leave missing at least one disc. All of the holes except for the last one (hole 9) are bordered on all sides by chest high, deep, thick vegetation. Expect to spend a large portion of your playing time looking for discs. It has concrete tees, but they are small circles and not full boxes. The fairways were well mowed and all the holes had good signs. All the holes were par 3, but some definitely could be par 2 or 4. The course is a somewhat long walk from the parking lot and the last hole does not lead you back to the parking lot. If you are going to play disc golf, there are better courses in the area that are worth a slightly longer drive.

I'm a beginner- the course is challenging for me, but I've played with more experienced people that do very well. It's a very pretty course and I found playing quite fun and relaxing! If you're worried about losing discs, I recommend playing first in the colder months when vegetation is down until you get familiar with the course. Always write a name & phone number on your discs! The park staff rescue discs a few times each year and make calls to return them to players. If you don't want to play alone or are curious about playing but don't want to purchase discs- Erie MetroParks offers free programs for beginners and experienced players where discs and instruction are provided.
