Love the course! My kids love the 3 playground areas, swings, and sand area. Restrooms close around September, I assume open back up in spring

I recently played at Helke Park Disc Golf Course in Vandalia, and I found it to be a solid experience overall. The course has a nice mix of open and wooded holes, which keeps things interesting and challenges different aspects of my game. Plus, the park itself is well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to spend an afternoon tossing some discs.
The layout is fairly beginner-friendly, but it still offers enough variety to keep more experienced players engaged. I appreciated the thoughtful design of the holes, which often feature strategic obstacles that require careful shot placement. It’s a great spot to practice and improve your skills, whether you're new to the sport or looking to refine your technique.
Lastly, I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere at Helke Park. The local disc golf community seems friendly, and it’s easy to strike up conversations with fellow players. If you're in the Vandalia area and looking for a course that balances fun and challenge, Helke Park is definitely worth a visit!
