Love everything about this park......Not anymore 😔....the new name tells you exactly what it has transformed into. Each time I would go to Woodmansse, the area for people doing anything beside playing frisbee golf or whatever, became smaller and smaller. Very disappointing. I'd like to know who made the final decision about changing it from a wildlife refuge to a frisbee golf course...ugh ... Now be prepared for the cold hard fact that if you're not participating in frisbee golf, you really don't belong. Remember: be careful and watch your head!!! Now, if you're in to frisbee golf, you should have a great time, after all it seems as if they are ridding the park of tall trees and anything else that may interfere with the game. There are generally several small groups but it's not so crowded that you are impeding on each others games. I believe some people still play soccer(football) there's still a small area to play basketball and a small tennis court.

Disc golf is nice there. Bathrooms are clean. Holes are a par 3, walk or dive 4 blocks and get a cheap set of discs ( frisbees) at big 5 for $20. And start playing.

18 hole course. Newly groomed trails on paths between holes, slight changes to course to accommodate park geographic additions and the lay out works well. Wooded and open green combined so plenty of room to practice long drives or challenge yourself through the trees.

The course itself is pretty nice. The same baskets are used for the back nine and the front nine, but with the tees in slightly different locations, which is fine. The real down side is that the markers are not well maintained and some are just missing. There are a few holes near the end of the first 9 holes that are a bit confusing. Part of that is the lush greenery, but some of it is also placement. Every hole is a par 3 (I think), so it's a little samey. Only one shot is over a creek, so it's pretty safe as far as losing discs is concerned. If more was done to keep the signs and markers maintained, I would give this course a solid 4 stars. But as it is, the highest I can give it is a 3.

Great little 18-tee, 9-basket mostly wooded course in south Salem. Unfortunately the tee sign maps have been turn off and there is often a lot of trash left around by park goers and the homeless population that live in the park during the warmer months. The new layout for hole 9/18 is terrible though and causes a lot of confusion and congestion at the last 2 holes. I can't wait for the remodel to be completed.
