I didn't really know what to expect coming to this course. I've played plenty of pay to play in New England, but few pure private courses. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the course that they have built out here. The property is beautiful. I would be thrilled to call this my home. The front nine starts over a pretty little pond and you start working your way up about 30 floors of hill. The top offers some nice vista views. The back nine plays down closer to the home. The woods here are so pure. There isn't even really any traffic noise. Its just really nice. The course offers some incredible holes that were really fun to play. You play over that pond twice. Neither is the type of shot that you can't easily clear but you can still lose a disc if you shank it. There is a hole running up the length of a little babbling Brook. My favorite were a few of the downhill shots. Hole 9 is a fantastic hole that offers a big downhill drive to a perfectly built green. This course will absolutely challenge your game with a nice variety of shots. There are a good number of shorter, technical holes. You have to throw ropes on a number of them, but they never feel unfair. The lines are there to be hit. Some of the longer holes are challenging pars that will need multiple good shots. The variety really keeps it fresh and interesting. There are three sets of tees here, offering red, white and blue. They did a good job of building well designed Red Tees that my wife enjoyed. Many courses they feel tacked on, but here the shots offered the same par challenges for that rating level. They are gravel tees. They probably need a fresh coat but were by no means bad. For a private course, I felt the tees beat my expectations. There are tee signs, as well, but look for them on the Whites. The distances for all three are on the signs on the White.
