Meadowood Lanes is one of two bowling alleys in Rapid City, SD. At first from the outside you wouldn't think much of this place. The outside aesthetic is a bit outdated looking. Once you go inside however, that all changes. There are 36 Lanes looking at you! The staff is really good here. They are really customer oriented and are knowledgeable. The lanes have been updated with new machines that display nice graphics, along with the lanes being taken care of with proper oiling and such. The bar is a nice quiet place to go into if you want a drink, and to watch any sport games they may have on. I have been bowling at this bowling alley for 20 years. Once you start a league and get to know people, that is when Meadowood Lanes really shines! You will feel apart of something, a belonging, a warm welcome and for that this place almost got 5 stars. The only real down point is the outside look of the bowling, and sometimes the food isn't always the greatest. Other than that this is a great place to scratch your bowling itch!

I had my husband's 40th birthday here while we were vacationing. We love this bowling alley & the renovations are wonderful. I'm giving it 4 stars because my cousin prepaid the $50 for my party reservation (they don't take reservations over the phone or online or I would have done it) and there was no record of it. The staff had no idea we were coming & put us on the far opposite side of the restaurant which was very inconvenient. Luckily they had lanes open on the opposite side or this could have ended badly. It all worked out thank goodness. I still recommend this bowling alley but if you are having a party just triple check things are in order.

This is an incredibly old fashioned bowling alley. If you want the newest and best bowling experience, than this is not the place. It has good food and a 1970s aroma, but that doesn't stop it from being fun. I went with my friends and easily got 300s without glitches or errors so it must be top tier for a old fashioned alley. It's a classic.

Really great lanes, perfect alley food, and amazing staff. The bar is stocked and efficient too. It's totally a hometown hero.

Showed up early on a Friday night before other bowlers were there. Needed two lanes for 10 bowlers. The desk guy mixed our party up with another business in town. After 35 min we were told there were no more lanes and had were not going to be able to bowl… we all had our shoes on and we’re at the lanes already… very very disappointing. I’ll be back since this town needs a new bowling place. But I’ll be cranky. The picture I posted is how many people had to take off their shoes and leave when half the lanes were still empty. Sad.
