Absolutely an epic disc golf course. Holes 3-8 are amazing, in a dense forest with tree obstacles everywhere, but very playable. The back 9 holes are in a less dense forest, but majestic trees all around. Just a blast to play and relax.

Relatively easy course when playing posted signage. Other alternative layouts exist on UDisc to make it more challenging. Overall the course is great with the newer prodigy baskets. Buying an annual membership makes it easier to play.

This is a dynamic course with tees for all player tiers. Terrain varies between open and wooded, but elevation is mostly level. Great for casual throwers and families up through the pros, and hosts A-tier events such as Fall Colors every year.

Just to start, I am not good at or experienced with disc golf...at all. That being said, my kids and I had a lot of fun going through the course. There were a few other groups going through, and from what I understand is a pretty highly rated course. The passes are purchased at the camping office, so you'll have to go there before you can start your adventure. The course has 18 holes, and has both wooded and open areas. The holes are not all just straight shots, either, adding some challenge and fun, at least for my family. It's definitely a place we're going back to, and eventually we may even keep score!

A very excellent course and wonderfully scenic, especially in Spring (we went in May). We even saw some deer! The course has a variety of challenges from distance, woods, to open fields and a few slopes. Some could probably throw a few aces out there too with there being short tees. I had several birdies on this 18-hole course (all par 3) with a final score of 56 strokes (+2). Considering it was my first time playing this particular course, I'm hoping next time will be better. Most holes have 2 tees to choose from to offer more variety or distance. I chose to throw the shorter distances on every tee. One caution: there is a $3 fee to play the course or $30 for a season pass. (THE FEE IS WORTH IT) Payment is taken off site at the Newport News Park Campsite Office located on Jefferson Ave (the office closes at 5pm on weekdays). Children under 12 and adults over 60 years old play for FREE! Hope y'all have a blast just like we did. This course is a definite must and is fun for all ages!
