Lafayette Park

It's a big park with lots of space for different sports and has different playgrounds. Our kids ages 2-8 enjoyed the exercise area the most. It really challenged them since they've never done anything like that before. That play area is padded with turf. There was also a fun race track with a huge time clock above the finish line. We had fun watching the many squirls and the big beautiful trees too. My reason for taking off 1 star is I saw some clothes and trash on benches by one of the playgrounds. Then we saw some homeless men laying by the bleachers. We went during the day around 12-3pm. I would advice to be careful and keep your eyes on kids and where they're playing. There was also people doing grounds maintenance.

Nice little nine-hole disc golf course. Majority of the throws mid-range but there is enough obstacles to have some fun runs like creating your own Mandos while playing. They did a good job with the land they had. There are nice bathrooms on site.

Beautiful old trees, dating back at least 80 years. Expansive, peaceful, lots of activities: playground, basketball courts, tennis courts, plenty of open grassy areas to throw a ball in, and new fitness equipment for older kids and adults. Bathrooms available but only in warm weather. That's a disappointment. Kids still play in colder weather, as do grownups play football. But next to the zoo, which is nice.

Good place, there are a lot of cookouts that happen there and the people are cool. Some people have an issue in that they leave trash littered about. Some trash sitting about but material condition of the place isn't terrible. Missing a functional water fountain, however there is a 7-eleven caddy cornered.

Nice place. Right next to the zoo. Get there early enough can go to the zoo than park to end the day.lots of space to play football or soccer have a picnic if you wanted. Yoga classes on certain days.
