What a nice park I came to visit. It seems small but actually it isn’t. I had so much fun walk around and enjoying the sign of birds, in the background people playing pick-a-ball and some kids playing/crying near the playground. I came from the east side of the lake, just parked my car by the gate which is a dirt field parking lot, it was cold but nothing that my jacket could not handle, but since trees are tall and produce good shadow, please bring something to keep you warm. I went in the morning and used the restrooms, which are clean, but cold. I can see myself coming more often here since it seems that you can enjoy a good picnic or day out with friends or family.

To be honest, it's really crowded. On a good nice weekend there will be so many people! Dont recommend going during those days! Go during the day on a weekday! Maybe right after school hours or during school hours! The water has gotten so much dirtier!! I remember 6 years ago when the water was more or less fine. Dont swim in the lake. Water is all gross and dirty. There are so many geese/ducks there! It is very disgusting that there is poop everywhere around the lake area. Nice playground, but some kids on the playground can be very aggressive and a bit mean. Not many kids on playground during the afternoon. 5-7 pm, there will be many people in the park in general. Don't recommend using the bathrooms. They dont seem to ever be clean. Same with the wayer fountain also very dirty. There are some pretty nice views! This is just from my point of view. It's an okay park. I go there once in a while. Cheers!

Park is nice for family picnics and other activities/events you want to do at the park 😄. Perfect place for paddle boarding with the whole family as well. We had fun! Will be going back here again. * The only downside is bathrooms. There's always a long line. Bring your pop-up changing tent if you plan on going here and need to change after doing water activities. Come early for parking also because it gets really packed.

Lake wilderness is an accurate name for this park because you do feel as if you are surrounded by wilderness and not a sprawling suburbia. Open 365 days a year for swimming, plenty of benches and picnic shelters. Plenty of trails. Nice sandy beach for swimming and a dock to jump off of. Also have kayak rentals and a concession stand. Definitely a gem of Maple Valley.

Great family friendly place to relax, grill, swim etc. Free movie's and concerts too in the month of August.
