I highly recommend playing this course. This course offers a variety of different shots between short, long, technical or open field. Most holes with a few exceptions have multiple pin positions and two pin positions (AM/PRO) for each hole. Signs at each tee pad mark the pin positions with a red or black dot, include distances to each location and informs you if you are at the PRO or Am pad. There is also a sign at the parking lot that shows a full map of the course. There are 27 holes with a bonus hole over a pond at the end of the course. The first four holes are across the street from the parking lot and then the rest are on the north side of the road. The tee pads are made of concrete and the baskets are a little older but in great shape still. Signage is in good shape and fairways are clean and well-kept despite not having garbage cans at each tee. There are some very open field with narrow fairways shots that could require a spotter during the summer months when vegetation growth is at its peak. We had little issue finding our stray discs in October but had issues in August (2 years ago). This is not the friendliest course for beginners but don’t let that deter you from enjoying the views and serenity this course has to offer, plus you’re discing so what’s the complaint? There is a regular hole through the main course that does have water (large pond/small lake) should you over throw your disc. I am not sure how deep the water is though and therefore can’t speak to how easily you could retrieve a disc from the drink. Some holes are also extremely long for average players and are just grip n rip it (good practice shots). There is also some elevation throughout with uphill or downhill tee shots. The technical holes (my preference) are fantastic with one memorable hole with the narrow tree tunnel and the rampart behind the basket. Don’t be like me and hit the path between the two walls parking your disc on the other side of the wall; it’s no bueno. I drove 50+ minutes to get here and it was well worth the drive but we (4 of us) also took our time playing all 27 +1 holes making it even more worth it. Time was roughly 3 hours to play and that was without looking terribly hard for any discs and with very few people on the course to slow us down since we started early in the morning. My one and only complaint, only because we were not familiar with the course, is that there are several pathways that are misleading as to where to go next mostly when you get out into the open field areas. We did see some signs but not all paths were clear marked as to which direction to go next and we needed to reference UDisc for a few holes. After a few rounds here, this would not be an issue but for new comers it could be. This course requires a daily ($5) or annual ($20) pass to play and can be done online using a QR code found at the course map sign. Well worth the cost for the well maintained course.

Beautiful course, recently remodeled to include 26 holes! The first 4 holes are in a beautiful meadow & you play over creeks, and the other holes take you up and down hills through a forest and prairie. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day in late fall, so no mosquitos, but they get bad in the summer in the wooded areas. And bring your mud shoes because there are a few holes & paths with pretty soggy land.

We are a family of three, Me and my boyfriend are very into Disc Golf, This place allows us to do that while also maintaining outdoor family time...Its always well taken care of ! Vast and green...The holes are easy yet just the right amount of complicated for experts. It's location is perfect . Not a lot of traffic but yet easily accessible... Bathrooms clean, Trash always maintained , and everyone we have ever crossed paths here has been really polite and chill.. Highly Recommended! (Especially if you have a kid because there is tons to do nature wise as well, while your throwing a disc, They get to explore the outdoors!?)

Bird's Ruins is an amazing disc golf course not for the beginner. Yes, it is a pay course, but not much..like 4 per day or 20 for the year. You may lose a disc or need a spotter on some challenging holes. Some elevation change, water holes, open holes, and holes in the woods that are showing this course a conglomerate of Wisconsin natural terrain! Come hang out with the 🐦s'!

This course is super overgrown, fairly tight, and only masterful shots on each hole result in you not losing a disc. It has 28 holes. Would play this course in fall if you value your discs.
