Beautiful clean park. Amazing spillway. Interesting area to explore. The downside is the other reviewers are right - there is a homeless woman that had an aggressive offleash dog. Luckily for me we had a discussion and she walked a different direction and then let dog offleash. I was going to walk along the river when we came back from the diner, overlook, and railroad caboose viewing platform but she was at table with dog offleash. It's a shame the city and police can't rectify this. It's a beautiful spot next to several businesses. Be wary. And keep you dogs on leash. It's Alabama State Law and every city or county has their own laws on top of that. No one should have to deal with a stranger's offleash dog. I did report this to the mayor's office and the police so I hope this is rectified before we try to go back. I would have given it 5 stars otherwise.

Not my favorite to go to but it seems a bit too small to do here, parks are usually one of my favorite activities and this is no exception, maybe there could be some medium to long trails you can possibly walk on and keep in mind, the bridge is fantastic. Events are mostly held over here or usually near the town hall area.

Disappointed and very little to do here. It could be so nice with an interesting history. The ambulance on the other side of the train tracks is waiting to cross, but the train was over 100 cars long with four engines. That's exactly how my uncles house burned down. Toot, toot!

Stopped here while working the nearby railroad and got the grilled chicken salad with vinaigrette dressing, one word SUPERB!!!!

Very peaceful with a small Creek running through unless it's been raining several options for dining nearby
