Absolutely love Sam Lena Park. The grass is green, not crowded, the 🚻 bathrooms are relatively clean (no soap or paper towels) but no toilet paper all over the stalls floor, compared to other area park bathrooms and my grandkids love the play area and playing in the grass. A couple of drawbacks are no water fountains and the play area and tables need to be power washed at least 1-2x's a month. Loved the event center when it was open. Such a waste since it's been closed.

I've never been to Sam Lena before. The only reason I know of this place is because it has a disc golf course and a friend of mine likes to play disc golf. It's a really nice park with a lot of Ramadas. Some having 5 picnic tables, a decent size for a decent size party. There's a play area for the kids. The nice grass around the area feels really nice walking barefoot on it. I highly recommend coming here.

Awesome park with grass, lots of land, trails, and public restrooms. No homeless either. Great place to just hang out. They even have games.

Clean park, not sketchy like some other parks around.

A buddy disc golfer of mine runs a disx golf league on Sundays from 8:45am-12pm. It has a wonderful but technical course that was specifically designed to be challenging.. Very fun and I shot +8. Definitely up for the next opportunity to do a lot better. Check it out.
