Beacon Hollow Disc Golf Course is an 18 hole course located next to the grounds of a mental health institution. The course mostly winds through and around the old, abandoned buildings, while the actual, in-use MHI is a bit further off. There are numerous massive trees that tower over the course, adding to the scenery of the abandoned buildings. This course offers long drives, with mostly open shots. There are a few tees that force you to hit a gap. I have never played a course like this one. Although it is awesome and super fun, it is not the best I’ve ever played (thanks wildcat bluff). However, without a doubt it is one of the most unique and interesting I’ve played. I absolutely loved it. What a great time. Worth my 3 hours drive.

Great Pro-Style 18-hole disc golf. Actually, there's another 9-holes for beginners-to-advanced as well. Both courses begin at the parking area alongside the Southside of MHI.

What a beautiful property. I feel lucky to have been given the opportunity to play in a 2 day/3 round disc golf tournament there. If I were in a state of metal instability, this is where I would want to be. Wait, I am mentally unstable. That must be why I liked it so much. It makes you feel like you're on your own island or in the middle of nowhere, even though there's a neighborhood right next door. The old unused institute buildings are eerily beautiful, which adds to the overall experience.

Spectacular course. Manicured fairways and rough. Truly one of the best courses I've ever played. Every hole is a challenge and makes you think about your shot.

Great course, its challenging though. If you want to play with your kids try the original 9 holes, but if you want a challenging couple hours, I highly recommend it.
