I enjoyed walking around the place, and it seemed like a very nice place to disc golf. The hill is very gradual, for the most part, so don’t expect (or worry about) too much exercise. 😉

Newton Hill is an overlooked gem in the city. It is part of Elm Park, oldest public park in the U.S.. There are hiking trails that circle the hill and others that reach the summit. There's a clearing up there with stone benches and a flagpole. Once the leaves have fallen there might be some views but otherwise the trees block the view. There is also a disc golf course on the hill if you are keen on that activity. I highly recommend this spot for a nice walk in the woods while never leaving the city.

Great place to walk, excercise and play disc golf, bicycle and even ski in snow time

Nice park within city limits. Multiple walking trails behind the High school, some of wich are used for cross country racing. There is also an 18 hole Disc Golf course on property. Donations accepted for the rpund. If you are driving, set Doherty high school as your GPS destination and park in the highest lot up the driveway and to the left. Fist teepad is up the log stairs next to the green donarion pole.

Beautiful hiking. Though be very careful with your dogs on the trails. There is a lot of broken bottles from young people partying at night. Police on horseback do patrol but definitely not enough at night.
