Great course for what it is. I can't really say much about the greens because they just punched them. I was notified before booking though so I knew what I was getting into. The course is in great shape. It is pretty open with some small bunkers and water in play. Only 4 stars because It is kinda "squishy" in certain low areas (not too crazy though) and I only saw the Cart girl once. Go play, you'll enjoy it!

This place is AMAZING!! I was here speaking at a conference and was blown away that there is a property like this in the Jackson, MS area. I travel all the time so I am not easily wowed but this place did it. Not only is it beautiful but every one of the staff were so nice. If you go there please look up Sorethina R. And Mrs. Betty D. On the front desk. These two are the BEST!! They made sure my stay was perfect and they did it with a smile. Had to give these people a shout out for a great job!!

I love playing at the refuge. I think it is the best public golf course in the area and is right up there with Reunions which is a ritzy private course in Madison. I will say that it is a little pricey if you want to hit golf balls at the range, you might as well just play a round.

Very nice course at a good price-Probably the nicest public course in the Jackson area. Played on Memorial Day in right at 4 hours. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Only knock was that we were charged 50 cents for a cup of ice, and $3 to fill the cart cooler with ice (that would have been free if we had bought drinks). First time for everything I guess. Would play again.

The course is in good shape. It’s a nice golf course. I absolutely hate the cart pacing system and GPS no-go zones. Don’t go to the bathroom at the turn, unless you want a flashing red screen letting you know you’re behind pace the rest of the round. You’ll also enjoy your first time backing a cart up 50 yards because they won’t drive forwards if you stray into a no-go zone. They just tried too hard with the carts and tech. New tech doesn’t always add to an experience. This is one of those cases.
