This is great! My kids wanted to go to a park that they hadn't been to before, one with a river or a pond, a playground, a place to play, picnic spot, a place to fish, or activities to do. This park has all of those things! Plus historic significance. Definitely worth a visit!

Great historic buildings and fun activities. Miles Goodyear's fort was rebuilt on its original location. Canoeing, camping, Frisbee golf, hiking and Mountain Man reenactments and huge Rendezvous. Help support local and enjoy beautiful scenery and recreation. This time of year it is peaceful and uncrowded.

Beautiful park to spend the day doing nothing but walking and hiking among the trees with mountains. Its a good place, totally recommend it for the day picnic anyday.

Easter Rendezvous is the first event to start the year at Fort Buenaventura. Many fun period things and people to see. Many friendly vendors. A good bargain at $2 per person for a few hours of history. No food vendors but prepackaged peanut butter or cheese crackers and canned sodas at the information center. (Maybe food inside the wood fort).

Great little park hidden away in Ogden. The grounds are beautiful, lake with canoe rentals, campsites, picnic areas, playground, reconstructed trapper's fort and on many weekends Mountain Man re-enactments.
