My friend and I put our chairs in the shallow part of the water, sat back, got some sun and listened to the river. It was fantastic. The perfect summer day. Just make sure you bring aqua sox or something because the water is full of big slippery rocks. But it's fun walking around to the other side of the river and just checking stuff out.

Lovely park to visit. It has playfields, courts, and access to Ceder River. It's along the bike trail that spans Renton and Maple Valley. The only downfalls I noticed at this point are the time the gate locks, which is early in my opinion and the bathrooms are not open yet. There are portable toilets, but those are only cool for temporary setups.

This park offers soccer, softball, and basketball fields. All facilities are only mediocre; additionally, the park is really close to the Maple Valley highway, which is somewhat loud. The soccer fields are mostly dirt, with some real grass areas. The dirt field is flat, but the grassy areas are a bit bumpy. However, I don't believe any soccer clubs practice here, so the fields are more available. Sometimes people use the dirt to drive remote control cars on. There's also good parking here for access to the Cedar River Trail, which goes out to Maple Valley. The trail itself is a nice wide, paved multi-trail. Quite a few people use this park just for access to this trail. There are also bathrooms here. Additionally, there are nice, wide grassy fields for walking your dog. Overall, the park isn't bad, but it's nothing to get excited about.

Nice park. We followed trail to get to river. It wasn't too crowded. Perfect place to look for rocks with great grandson and cool off in river at same time.

Lots of fun activities to choose from and (if you can walk a bit through the brush) access to the river.
